NHS to roll out Covid booster programme ahead of winter
Care home residents and people who are housebound will be the first in line to receive the booster during the week of 5th September with the national booking system also opening that week.
From the 12th September the NHS will start inviting those most susceptible to serious illness from Covid and those aged 75 and over to book an appointment from that week.
As with previous roll outs, people will be able to book their appointment online or by calling 119, as long as it has been at least 3 months since their last dose.
