for the last year and a half but now questions need asking as to whether the lack of services is down to COVID or plain laziness, I fear the latter. There was a time, when this surgery was located in Lilyville Road, when, as a patient, you felt looked after, not anymore. Trying to book an appointment is nearly impossible either online or by phone, online; there are never any slots and phoning this morning I was placed in a queue and was number 37 in line. When I was finally connected another barrier was put in my way, yes, the receptionist who thinks she's a doctor.
However, I did manage to speak to a doctor this afternoon as I needed a prescription for antibiotics. I normally have my medication delivered by one of these free delivery services but as this was a one off prescription which I needed for today, the doctor I spoke to suggested I collected my medication from a local pharmacy. Obviously this was the right course of action under the circumstances, just received an email from my delivery provider, they have my prescription so I wont get it for a couple of days, great!
I am now actively searching for a new GP practice as there is no other doctors apart from my doctor who is one of the best doctors I've seen but can never get an appointment with (see above). I don't trust any other doctor at this practice and the reception is a shambolic joke. If you have just moved to the area and are looking for a GP practice, take my advice and avoid this one as I cannot see anything improving anytime soon, utterly disgraceful.
