Women Entrepreneurs Workshop, 3D Tour of the White City Campus and Tech Support

Women Entrepreneurs Workshop

The Women Entrepreneurs Workshop provides an opportunity for women in West London to explore entrepreneurship as a career, enhance their skills and confidence, develop additional employability skills and understand how to grow their existing business and network.

Upstream and Imperial College London are developing a community for women with an entrepreneurial spirit, who are empowered to support each other’s ideas, make incredible connections, build valuable life skills and most importantly, have fun!

The workshops aren’t focused on a specific industry and attendees do not have to have an existing idea or business to join. Attendees are welcome to join both days, or just the one that is most suited to the skills you want to develop.

  • Day One

Tuesday 23rd March 9.30 – 12.00

    • Pitching and presenting
    • Starting a new business – idea canvas and business model basics

  • Day Two

Wednesday 24th March 9.30 – 12.00

    • Understanding customers
    • Branding and online presence, why that’s important for growth

White City Campus 3D Virtual Tour

Our monthly community campus tour has been on hold since lockdown first began – we are looking forward to recommencing them when it is safe to do so. The College has produced a White City 3D virtual tour of the campus.

The 3D tour enables you to view everything within a 360° radius. Via the tour you can visit 8 research facilities and buildings on Campus which are not currently accessible in the usual way due to lockdown.

What the Tech?! Phone Tech Support

Do you need some help getting on Zoom, or working out how to video call a friend? Or do you know a neighbour or family friend that could use some extra help to get online and stay connected? If so, our team have been running an over the phone tech buddy scheme since the beginning of lockdown. Residents in need of tech support are matched with a trained staff or student volunteer for weekly support phone calls. Support can be one off to fix a problem or ongoing to help with digital skills.

If you would like to be matched with a volunteer complete this short form or call Keisha on 07708 326 342 . The matching process takes around 2-3 days.
