Care home guidance

 

With many of us unable to or limited in visiting our loved ones, it is important to know what measures are in place for them during these challenging times. The government have provided information on what action you can take.

Support from local HPT

HPT’s provide support to health professionals, including:

  • local disease surveillance
  • alert systems
  • investigating and managing health protection incidents
  • national and local action plans for infectious diseases

The Department of Health and social care

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Department of health and social care have put forward an ethical framework which details the mechanisms put in place to manage a pandemic and its effects on the adult social care services. The framework provides ongoing support in the planning and decision-making of ethical values and principles when delivering social care for adults.
